Best Practice Corporate Profiles, Information Graphics: Best practice descriptions and information are organized and presented under the thematic headings or sub-elements for each performance system. Highly effective practices are identified in bold-faced type and are followed by detailed descriptions of individual companies specific systems and approaches to these practices.
For instance, a practice under Communicating Best Practices such as Ensure Communication Among Line and Staff Management is illustrated by a discussion of the various methods Wal-Mart uses to ensure corporate-wide communication (including Saturday morning executive meetings, and video links connecting all stores). At times, the corporate profiles will go into great depth and detail describing a benchmark company’s integrated approach to the subject area. Other times the profile will be brief and illustrate a single relevant practice. When relevant, the research team has developed tables and information graphics to visually illustrate key practice areas.
Research Sources Tables: Lastly, the report contains a Summary Table detailing the full extent of research sources employed to develop each set of benchmark profiles.
