Benchmarking Approaches to Vehicle Fleet Management
Based on a survey of 40 organizations, this 12-slide presentation identifies how companies manage take-home vehicles for employees. About half of the surveyed organizations are in the utilities industry. Key topics include: vehicle deployment rates, car eligibility criteria and leasing versus owning cars. Companies can use this information to refine their own approaches to fleet management.
The study found that 54% of surveyed organizations have all eligible employees currently using take-home cars. Surveyed organizations rank responding to emergencies and ensuring continuity of service as top criteria in determining take-home vehicle eligibility. In addition, 56% of surveyed organizations lease take-home vehicles.
