DATA SEGMENTATION
When relevant, study findings are segmented by utility companies, US companies, international companies, and US companies with an absence rate less than or equal to three percent.

SAMPLE KEY FINDING
  • None of the US benchmark partners achieving an absence rate lower than three percent attempt to validate sick days. In contrast, among international benchmark partners achieving similar absence rates, 90 percent validate sick days.
METHODOLOGY
This research was conducted on behalf of member of Best Practices, LLC's Global Benchmarking Council. The results were complied from survey data responses from 27 companies representing more than ten industries.
