OCTOBER 2019 Research Alert

This month we added four new studies to the Best Practice Database, the research repository for Best Practices, LLC. This month's new studies all involve pharma programs that deal with patients. While patients are at the heart of the new studies, the research revolves around two different types of patient-oriented programs: patient advocacy groups and patient support groups. The two patient advocacy studies are U.S. focused with the first of these studies providing insights around ethical boundaries and the regulatory impact of working with advocacy groups in the U.S. The second study provides lessons learned regarding relationship management with advocacy groups. The last two studies deal with patient support groups in pharma. The third new study examines structure, effectiveness and resource levels for these programs while the fourth study deals with patient support group partnerships and best practices/pitfalls.

The new Best Practices, LLC studies listed below under Newly Added Research explore how leading companies have made their operations more effective across these different areas.
