Pharmaceutical Advocacy Groups Focus on Value-of-Care Initiatives
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – October 7, 2011 – As bio-pharmaceutical companies lose the ability to communicate externally because of increased regulatory and media scrutiny, the role of internal Advocacy groups will become more important to a company’s success. - More than half of the respondents use centralization in Advocacy. More than a third employs a hub-and-spoke structure which tends to set strategy at headquarters and communicate back-and-forth with individual countries to reflect their local needs and requirements.
- Corporate is the largest single funding source for Advocacy groups, with 56% of participants receiving at least some funds from corporate.
