He is an honors graduate of the Harvard Business School and Amherst College.
He sits on the boards of several corporations and is a Guest Lecturer at Northwestern
University's Kellogg School of Management.
Cameron Tew joined Best Practices, LLC, in early 2004, bringing a wealth of experience in research, analysis, field interviews and management/project leadership from 14 years in the media industry.
Since 2004, Mr. Tew has acquired extensive pharmaceutical product knowledge and is responsible for developing and maintaining advisory services and relations for Best Practices. He also serves an integral role in all aspects of new business development for the company and its clients. This places him in both the sales and delivery cycles for analytical project work integral to strategic planning and tactical execution for clients' commercial operations groups.
He has worked closely with pharmaceutical clients including Novartis, Shire, GSK, Sanofi-aventis, Roche, Merck, NovoNordisk , Genentech, Astellas, Abbott, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca and others. In this role, Mr. Tew works directly with clients on existing initiatives and also contributes to the development of new services to help pharmaceutical companies improve their commercial operations.
Mr. Tew has been published and quoted in various industry and technology publications including Med Ad News, Pharma Focus, Product Management Today, Pharmaceutical Technology and Innovations in Pharma Technology. He has delivered industry presentations on a breadth of topics including new product planning, product launch, competitive intelligence, Medical Affairs, sales communication and talent management.
He holds a B.A. degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mihir Shah leads Best Practices, LLC’s International business development operations from Mumbai, India. Having worked within the pharmaceutical industry for more than 5 years, Mr. Shah has worked extensively with clients spanning across three continents and more than ten countries. In addition to a rich business development background, Mr. Shah has worked across a number of areas in the generic pharmaceutical industry including: advertising, quality, licensing, packaging, manufacturing and finance. Mr. Shah graduated from the Mumbai University with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and earned his Masters of Business Administration – Marketing and Finance from Graduate School of Business, Fordham University, New York.
Dr. Scott Brown is a research leader with a passion for uncovering key insights to drive growth. Dr. Brown has extensive experience within the biotech-pharmaceutical industry. He has lead projects to assist clients in making decisions in product planning and launch, marketing strategy, digital innovation, patient engagement, medication adherence, and sales/marketing training.
Samita more than 20 years experience working in and for biopharma. Prior to joining Best Practices, she worked for Merck, J&J and Schering Plough. She has in-depth therapeutic knowledge in areas of oncology, hospital / specialty, cardiovascular, diabetes, and neuroscience. Samita has functional expertise in analytics, market research, forecasting, mergers & acquisitions, finance, digital health care, procurement and compliance.
Richard brings global experience to clients in sales, marketing and corporate management in the pharma industry. Richard served as a principal in industry consultancy Kantar Health. His roles have included sales, brand marketing and marketing director at 3M and Mallinckrodt Medical, President/COO of The Mattson Jack Group, CEO of Kantar Health Region Americas, CEO Oncology Kantar Health, and Sr. Vice President at Ipsos. Richard holds his MBA from Washington University, St. Louis and BA Natural Sciences, University of South Florida, Tampa.
James oversees research teams and interviews executives and managers throughout the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sectors. In his time with Best Practices, LLC, James has led research and consulting projects on behalf of leading global healthcare companies in the areas of Medical Affairs, Digital Technology, Market Research, and Business Continuity & Crisis Management.
James graduated from Amherst College with a bachelor’s degree in English.
As head of Finance & Human Resources, Robin keeps Best Practices, LLC, humming. With more than 30 years of experience, she assists with contracting approval; interacts with clients and procurement to make sure paperwork is completed in a timely manner. As the HR Head, Robin oversees payroll, benefits and all company policies.
Outside of her normal activities, Robin also assists with membership retention and leads the company’s Fun Committee. Robin has applied these specialties to help Best Practices reach its numerous goals and milestones.
Robin attended school in upstate New York with a focus on business/accounting classes. When not working, Robin is an avid game player, loves to read and spending time with her family.
With over 25 years of Life Sciences experience , Lou has In depth knowledge in Pharmaceutical Sales, Account Management and Sales Leadership, Clinical Trials and Managed Markets. Prior to joining Best Practices, Lou worked for Pfizer for 17 years and other healthcare vendors. Lou holds a B.A. degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa. While not on duty at Best Practices, Lou currently also serves as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) officer in the United States Army National Guard.
David Guinn is a Client Services leader for our Best Practice Database and Research and Advisory Services memberships. David serves health sector clients from throughout the Pharma, Biotech and medical device sectors. David previously worked in the Clinical Trials Outsourcing industry for a CRO. David is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jeff is a former editor of the Washington Drug Letter, covering regulatory issues between the U.S. FDA and the pharma industry. He has 20 years’ experience in consulting, interviewing, analysis and writing. Clients used the research to more effectively navigate the FDA review and approval process, to readdress standard contracts for third-party vendors, to enhance the role of New Product Planning in commercialization, ready two new Phase III drugs for market entry, and to build a product-specific public relations plan.
Nauruz Japakov joined Best Practices from Duke University after participating in our graduate and undergraduate student internship program. He is also the first member of Best Practices' Rotational Executive Development Program, which allows staff to experience different functional roles and work in different geographic offices. As a part of the program in our Mumbai office, Nauruz led a team of six to improve and streamline our customer databases, guided and trained associate researchers, and facilitated knowledge exchange between US headquarters and India operations.
Now back in the US HQ, Nauruz continues to lead the CDM team, supports advisory services and research operations. He works on multiple research fronts with an increasing focus on the company's Quality & Regulatory Practice.
Nauruz has 5+ years of managerial and consulting experience spanning across multiple industries. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Duke University with a concentration in health sector management.
Aakruti leads benchmarking research studies for mature and emerging markets across pharma, biotech and medical devices and diagnostics industries. Aakruti has spearheaded key benchmark studies examining utilizing Health Outcomes data, Medical Affairs and Identifying Business Sustainability. Aakruti has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from DAVV University and has earned her Master in Business Administration from DAVV University.
Jacob specializes in bioscience business and has a background in agricultural biotech and value assessment. Jacob has consulted for Big Pharma clients and fast-growing biotechs. He has led projects on new product launch, technology-enablement of commercial and medical functions, and biopharma intelligence.
Jacob is a two-time graduate of N.C. State University, having earned a Master’s degree in Microbial Biotechnology and a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences.
Richard is a research consultant working in the Medical and Commercial practice areas. He has led or supported projects on Using Patient Insights to Inform Combination Product Launches, New Product Planning, Competitive Intelligence, Pull Through Excellence and Medical Technology Forecasting. Richard has a dual Masters in Microbial Biotechnology and his MBA from North Carolina State University. He was biologic sciences major as an undergraduate at NC State.
Hannah is part of our Commercial and Medical consulting practices. She has worked on projects examining Outcomes Based contracting, Medical Affairs Role in Launch, Copay Card Accumulators, Pull Through and Competitive Intelligence. She holds a B.S. degree in economics from Presbyterian College and a Master’s Degree in business management from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business.
Kieu My Tucker
Kieu My is the Director of Strategic Accounts Management. In this role, Kieu My helps establish and implement Critical Standards of Excellence in regards to serving our health care clients and seeking new business and growth opportunities for Best Practices, LLC.
Kieu My also helps lead partner engagements, project management, business development and internal training that improves Strategic Account Management.
Outside of her primary, client-facing duties, Kieu My leads the Best Practices Mentor Program and serves on the Fun Committee.
She holds a B.S. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, as well as a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies.
Heena Maniyar is a Graphic, Web cum Multimedia Designer and a front-end Web Developer with over fifteen years of professional experience in the IT/ Design industry.
Heena actively handles Best Practices LLC Website design, Report Cover designs, Email Marketing web creation and Presentation style. She specializes in designing Corporate and E-commerce websites, Applications, Presentations, Brochures.
Heena owns a Bachelor of Commerce degree from SIES College of Commerce and Economics with Advanced Diploma in Web Designing and Multimedia from Arena Multimedia institute.
Priyanka Singh leads the marketing and publishing initiatives from India. She has utilized her varied skill set to successfully meet business objectives through innovative marketing communication strategies, content writing, social media marketing, lead generation strategies, and publishing reports, documents and white papers on the Best Practices, LLC website. Priyanka graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and earned her Master of Management Studies – Marketing from the University of Mumbai.
Pranieta has worked on numerous global and North American projects probing Medical and Commercial topics. She has been a core team member on studies examining Critical Factors in Co-promotion Partnerships, Best Practices for Successful Product Launch, Excellence in Medical Affairs in Emerging Markets, and Data Dissemination Policies for Medical Field Teams. Prior to joining Best Practices, Pranietta holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Biotechnology from RTM Nagpur University.
Maithili has supported projects across diverse Medical, Marketing and Launch topics. Most recently, she has been a core team member on projects probing Collaborating with Patient Advocacy Groups, Lifecycle Management, and Field-based Medical Team excellence. Maithili holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and a Master in Business Administration from University of Pune, India.
