Three Senior Business Advisors with Extensive Biopharma Consulting Experience Join Best Practices, LLC to Expand Regional Business Development & Advisory Capabilities
CHAPEL HILL, N.C., July 9, 2020. Biopharma research and consulting firm Best Practices, LLC today announced the addition of three veteran executives to its business development and advisory services team.
The three, Richard Martin, Ian Hicks, and Neal Muhilly, have served in senior executive roles at firms such as Kantar Healthcare, Ipsos and The Matson Jack Group. At Best Practices, LLC they will serve as senior business advisors to strategic accounts and be responsible for business development for specific regions of the country.
Hicks is based in Orange County, California, and will cover southern and northern California. Muhilly is based in Boston and will focus on the New England market. Martin, a Tampa, Florida, resident will be responsible for key accounts in the Northeast and Midwest.
Their business accomplishments and career highlights include:
- Ian Hicks has broad and deep experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, with more than 20 years focused on consulting, business analyses and strategic development in oncology and other therapeutic areas. Hicks was a senior vice president at Kantar Health and held senior roles also at the Mattson Jack Group and Davinci Healthcare Partners in commercial development. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a Bachelor of Science in secondary education and teaching from The Johannesburg College of Education.
- Richard Martin is a global biopharma executive with previous senior leadership experience in CEO, COO and President business unit roles at Ipsos Healthcare, Kantar Health and the Mattson Jack Group. He began his career at 3M Pharmaceuticals and then Mallinckrodt Medical. Martin earned a bachelor's degree in natural sciences from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
- Neal Muhilly is a seasoned biopharma consultant and business advisor with over 30 years experience. His practice specialties include strategic planning, new product launch, promotional optimization, physician influence mapping, forecasting, epidemiology and licensing. Since 2015, Muhilly has been a principal at pharma consulting firm Tesselon. Previously, he served as a senior vice president at Kantar Health and as a VP at Mallinckrodt. Muhilly received his master’s degree in administrative science from The Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in biology from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
