This presentation focuses on the four key deliverables of Kodak’s Integrated Performance Management:
1. Identification and definition of standardized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
2. Balanced Scorecards that give management a comprehensive view of performance
3. Improvements to performance planning and review processes
4. Creation of the Balanced Scorecard Information System
In July 2000, Kodak implemented the Balanced Scorecard on a worldwide basis for every Business Unit and Region, and in May 2001 enhanced the system to include Global Manufacturing. Strong executive sponsorship paired with alignment of KPIs with strategic initiatives and operational excellence activities are fundamental to a successful implementation. Kodak’s complete analysis includes actual performance versus prior performance, actual performance versus commitment, and actual performance versus the benchmark. Integrated Performance Management at Kodak has resulted in more effective monthly operations reviews: focused, forward looking, balanced, and efficient.
