STUDY BACKGROUND

The iPad - with its wide-ranging capabilities - has become a valuable asset for enhancing Medical Science Liaisons' interactions with thought leaders. In addition to allowing MSLs to run educational animations, iPads serve as an excellent way to manage interactions with KOLs across multiple geographic locations and therapeutic areas.

Best Practices, LLC conducted this study to help biopharmaceutical companies better understand the benefits and challenges that come with MSLs utilizing iPads in the field. In particular, this study examines how pharma companies approach the training, content delivery and CRM integration associated with MSLs' use of iPads. This study will inform MSL group leaders regarding key operational aspects of iPad use among MSL teams.
