STUDY OVERVIEW

The general advantages of telehealth over a traditional in-person treatment model – convenience, affordability, and superior access in even remote areas – have led to the emergence of many new telehealth networks and treatment models. However, considering that telepsychiatry is still in the early stages, it is important to understand the stakeholder interests that will further shape the telepsychiatry model.

Best Practices, LLC undertook this research to understand the stakeholder interests and opportunities shaping the telepsychiatry market today.

Drawn from a series of deep-dive interviews with telepsychiatry channel leaders and practicing telepsychiatrists, this study will help pharma manufacturers make more informed decisions by examining stakeholder reactions within the telepsychiatry channel, as well as by identifying the top opportunities for biopharma collaboration.

KEY TOPICS

  • Experience of Psychiatrists within the Telepsychiatry Channel
  • Patient Experience within the Telepsychiatry Channel
  • Payer Reactions to Telepsychiatry
  • Biopharma Collaborations in Telepsychiatry
  • Emerging Opportunities

SAMPLE KEY FINDINGS
  • Biopharma Collaboration Interest: While all the participating telepsychiatry platform leaders seem open to collaborating with a biopharma company, only 60% of the participating psychiatrists practicing in the telepsychiatry channel seem open for the same.

METHODOLOGY

Best Practices, LLC conducted 12 deep-diving interviews with telepsychiatry platform providers, practicing tele-psychiatrists, and digital health executives now working as advisors in the telepsychiatry channel.
